January and spring doesn't seem to go together, but the fact is the spring boat market starts in January and often times the best boats at the best prices get sold by March. You hear that buyers? MARCH. That is not to say that there are not great boats available all year, but by the time people wake up from the winter doldrums and start to think about finding a great boat to for this upcoming season, many of the truly great boats have been sold.
Experienced buyers are out looking for boats in the winter. They are counting on the competition to be asleep and often they are right. These same experienced buyers are also experienced sellers. They know the serious buyers are out looking right now and they will do whatever it takes to get their boat in front of that audience, for many reasons.
